Work EstimatesDue to the nature of restoration or custom building of our projects, and obstacles involved with the process, our time estimation may not be accurate. As a project progresses, certain hidden problems may be discovered, that were not visible at the time of work estimation. For example, hidden sheet metal rust that is trapped in many areas, visible only when all parts are removed (mid-way into the project). Another example is an engine overhaul process. This process is filled with obstacles in form of hidden defects, excessive wear and tear, availability and cost of replacement parts, etc. Once found, what time frame is required to repair unforeseen defects, problems and obstacles? Could old parts be repaired or need replacement? Are the replacement parts available? Answers to those questions will change the original estimate, in some cases slightly, in others -- substantially. Therefore, our goal, is to provide you with the most accurate up-front estimate, however please keep in mind, that this estimate may change depending on the complexity of the project and the initial condition of your vehicle. Remember, there is no standard book/manual that tells us how much time it takes to restore a particular car, or how much a particular replacement part will cost. Our up-front estimates are only based on our experience and good will and may change as the project moves forward. It is our practice to notify our customers of any deviations from the original estimate as soon as possible and obtaining the customer's authorization to proceed with the project under new cost. |
